It is possible to get speech support in safe mode, but it was something I meant
to look into and never did. I got the impression it's much easier to do with
nVDA than with JAWS. I think there are instructions on the web somewhere

Yes, safe mode doesn't allow access technology as far as I am aware, if you
search the web, you may find an Avast removal tool

I thought I removed it all after using revo uninstaller.
On google here, it states when using the tool Avast has to remove it, it
