Hi Jim,

From:
I posted a question to FS about how to determine the number of activation
keys remaining. In case any of you wanted to find out, here are their
instructions, verbatim:

Thank you for contacting Freedom Scientific Support.

We suggest going to FSACTIVATE.com

http://www.fsactivate.com
2. Click on the continue product activation button.
3. Down arrow to: Verify the number of activation keys available for
your Freedom Scientific product and press enter.
4. Down arrow to serial number and again down arrow to edit.
Type in your JAWS serial number and press enter on the submit button.
5. Underneath the first seven digits of the authorization number, you
will find the number of keys remaining.

If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact
us.

Installing JAWS and Not Burn a Key

This is relevant to Windows XP, so your folder names may be different. Also

this is only a suggested process and the author will not assume any
liability if

it does not work as advertised on your system. But others have used it with

success.

PREPARATION
Before you make any changes to your system you must preserve two folders on

another drive or partition so you can copy them later. Do this now while

you're thinking about it. Doing this after you've made changes is useless.

1. Open C:\Program Files\Freedom Scientific
2. Copy the folder called 'activator'
3. Paste this folder to some other drive on your computer or an external

backup drive to keep it safe.
4. Do the same for the folder 'authorization'.
5. Now you will have these two folders preserved for when you need them

later. Don't lose them or forget where you put them.
6. If you have some sort of archiving software or a synchronization
software,

set it up so that these two folders are automatically backed up. Then you
don't

even need to think about them.

UPDATING JAWS
If you update your version of JAWS it is recommended you recopy these two

folders after the install is complete. Again if you use an automatic backup

process you don't need to worry about this step.

USING THESE FOLDERS
Follow these steps if you are ever confronted with the message to
re-authorize

your installation of JAWS. This can occur if you change some hardware, or

add a drive or RAM.
1. Be sure to be running the newest version of JAWS when you restart your

computer. If you don't, the activation may not cover all versions you have

installed. So if you have version 9, 11, and 12 installed, be sure to boot
using

JAWS 12.
2. If or when the activation dialog comes up, cancel out of the dialog.
3. Copy the two folders 'activator' and 'authorization' from your backup
drive.
4. Paste both to the C:\Program Files\Freedom Scientific folder.
5. Allow all files to be overwritten.
6. Reboot your computer.

CAVEATS
This should work as long as you do so on the same machine (computer). It is

not known to work if you try to paste these two folders onto the C: drive of

a

different computer. That would obviously violate the whole purpose of the

keys -- to prevent JAWS from being installed on too many computers.

Take care.
Mike

Um, it might be you. Remember some of the following notes:

1. You ned to enable the sidebar in iTunes.

2. iTunes is somewhat sluggish. When you do something, it takes a few
seconds to get reflected.

3. You can use the f6 key to get back to the search area in the iTunes
store.

Is it me or does 15 not work half as well as 14 on itunes store?
It is just the store I am having issues with.

I am really not having much luck with 15 on itunes and windows 7.

[JAWS-Users] print screen

print the screen and send it to them. I assume that one just presses the print

I've seen a couple of things on google that say click here and then click

where you specify the drive letter and remote folder. Usually the screen
I'm trying to navigate just disappears and I'm on the desktop.

[JAWS-Users] JAWS compatibility with Wy-Star

I am writing to inquire if anyone here is familiar with the WyStar

If it is the same program used at Wells Fargo call Centers, then, at least a
year or so ago, JAWS was not compatible.

I would appreciate any assistance/direction and would be glad to follow up
with a resource/contact person that would be recommended.
