Hi all. I used to have Google as my home page when I opened Internet Explorer,
but someone changed it to the Microsoft home page when they were doing repairs
on my laptop. How do I change it back? I've looked through the menus but can't
find an option for it. I'm using Windows 7, JAWS 18 and
I am having a problem with the Jaws voices erratically changing in volume. I am
using A Dell XPS 8700 PC and Jaws 18 and eloquence This occurs if I am typing
or reading a document. I went back to Jaws 16 but the result is the same. Any
thoughts as to what could be causing this? Thanks, Tom.
How can I closed the task bar. Do not want to see it. Can be this be done. Hope
I do not need to send 50 emails asking for helphlep help about this.

press the alt key to get the standard menubar
navigate with the right bursor key to tools
in the tools menu arrow down to options
after entering
you will hear jaws say
to create home page tab type address on the line or something
tab until you get to an edit
then type in the google address
You may just find that people here on the list who offer help they have
gained by doing many searches not so willing to offer their free help if you
continue to ooze with so much gratitude and positivity. You could always go
find a magic Genie in a lamp and have him tell you. Just saying.
Some laptop audio drivers have a built in compressor that JAWS works poorly
with. That would be my guess.

Hi Michele,
I don't know the keystrokes offhand but I would first go to the Google page.
Then go into the tools menu and into internet options. Under the General tab,
press enter on save current page and that should do it.
