F11 when pressed and going to volume control and tabbing twice to uncheck
muted or not did not work.
I don't know what else could be muted.
So looks like I will have to call Freedomscientific because they are good
with getting things working with no speech, or just wait for sighted help.

You need to press the JAWS key - which may (or may not) be the Insert key,
or it could be the capslock key on your laptop, depending on which layout
you're using - TOGETHER WITH F11 to bring up the System Tray. Then
proceed
