[libreoffice-l10n] Untranslated strings in LibreOffice 6 NotebookBar (a least in Basque)

2018-06-05 Thread Osoitz E
Hello,

If a user chooses to use the NotebookBar in LibreOffice 6 some untranslated
strings appear in Calc and Impress, at least when using the Basque (eu)
interface.

Apparently Write is not affected. I can't confirm now whether this happens
in other languages too.

As far as I can tell by checking Pootle, these are all common words that
have been translated long ago, before the release: Font, Number, Alignment,
Cells, Data, Slideshow, Slide, Insert, Draw

Calc NotebookBar: https://ibin.co/w800/44FhWtijygcB.jpg

Impress NotebookBar: https://ibin.co/w800/44FkFUmTBn3b.jpg

Why could this be?

Do I need some kind of permission? How would I modify that file?

Please excuse my ignorance.

[libreoffice-l10n] Where are date strings defined?

2017-06-13 Thread Osoitz E
Hello,

Enter a date in a Calc cell, press ctrl +1 to open the cell format dialog
and choose date.

You are given several textual options to represent the date, and we have a
mistake in the Basque translation.

But I can't find where those strings are defined in Pottle. Did I not
search properly or do they come from somewhere else?

Thank you

Hello Olivier,

ask.libreoffice.org/eu (Basque) exists but it doesn't seem to be
"integrated", the design is different and users seem to be redirected to
the English site.

¿Could this be addressed please?

Thank you in advance.

[libreoffice-l10n] Pootle proposes old incorrect translations

2016-11-20 Thread Osoitz E
Hello,

In the Basque translation "pivot-table" is now always translated as "taula
dinamiko", but in the past it was translated in several different ways like
"pibote-taula" or "errotazio-taula".

Nowadays you won't find a single instance of "pibote-taula" or
"errotazio-taula" if you search the whole project in Pootle, however Pootle
keeps suggesting those in the "similar translations" and not the currently
accepted "taula dinamiko"

I'm afraid that this is happening also with other translations, it proposes
deprecated translations instead of the current choices.

This is very confusing, and dangerous, there are many new strings to
translate and the first suggestion gets automatically copied, it's easy to
reintroduce mistakes that were already corrected.

I have been told that this is because of the way translation memories work
in Pootle, so I understand that this is not something easy to fix in the
short term.

That's a very nice offer. I'll contact you in private with all the details.

Hello,

@Sophie:
> The next step is to ask for an instance on the website list. Give the
user names of the people who will moderate it and then you're done.

Done: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/website/msg14629.html

@Olivier:

> Do I read correctly? 'ar' stands for arabic. A typo I guess.

A typo indeed.

> Register in transifex for askbot and be part of the askbot transation
team for basque.

Done too.

We have organized a Translation Marathon on December 6 in what's probably
the most important gathering about Basque Culture, and we would like to use
it to present ask.libreoffice.org and translate askbot, so I would like to
be 100% sure that there's nothing missing on our side.

Do we have to do anything else so that:

The link is added to the bug
Basque is added to ask.libreoffice.org
Translators are accepted in transifex (The language was already accepted)

Thank you and sorry for the pressure.

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Get Help menu in LO: add your link

2016-11-07 Thread Osoitz E
Hello Sophie,

I have consulted with the members of librezale.eus (A groups of volunteers
that translate free software to Basque of which I'm a member). We don't
have a fallback forum and wouldn't want to send Basque users to another
language's support site, several people offered themselves to participate
in a Basque version of ask.libreoffice.org to answer questions and maintain
it.

What's the next step? Do I add the link https://ask.libreoffice.org/
eu/questions/ to the bug myself?

Thank you in advance,

Osoitz

[libreoffice-l10n] Pootle is constantly refreshing

2016-03-20 Thread Osoitz E
Hello,

During several days Pootle has been constantly refreshing, with this
message on top:

"Some data on this page is currently being calculated, and the page will
be refreshed automatically in $ second. Refresh now"

The source of the problem seems to be in the translation I maintain:

https://translations.documentfoundation.org/eu/libo_ui/extras/source/autocorr/

I don't know if I can do something to fix this as a translator, otherwise
can someone have a look at it please?

Thanks,

Osoitz
