Bad news on this one. Just went through all the occurrences of the word
drive in Pootle. The occurrences of the word that contain the tilde
sign inside the word (e.g., D~rive) were omitted by the search engine.
This means the search engine is returning incomplete results.

I have run into a number of cases where the tilde symbol seems to
distort the expected search results. If one enters a word that has a
tilde symbol inserted somewhere in the middle of it, the occurrence of
that word are not returned by the search engine.
I have not tested this scenario in
OK.
