Hello Lynn,
The Continental bobbins aren't spangeled. Only the english and the
danish ones. Ver old ones from Erzgebirge sometimes weren't spangeled
too. I couldn't find out yet in which time and why.
Greetings

Hello lacemakers
Someone collecting beads asked me whether the beads in a spangle may have
some meaning. I guessed not, except adding weight to the bobbin and being

there is a link to a 'garage sale' of back issues - first come first
served - and a link to a pdf version of the bobbin inventory (in English -
la version francais, toute suite).

Dear Ann-Marie,
perhaps you could attach the velcro to a cover cloth, which can then be
pinned firmly over your pillow, to attach the roller. Thinking about it, it
might be possible to simply pin the velcro to your pillow. I've not tried
anything like this, but it would seem to be worth

Hi All, It sure is quiet! I can't find my copy at the moment but there is
a neat booklet called Spangles and Superstitions put out by the Springetts

I looked up spangles and superstitions on the web. This is just one of the
things I found, and I must say it is quite interesting.

You go under a variety of names but I think all teh packages have been
sent from CA. The March package arrived today, a little late but worth
the wait. The needle case and mini book are delightful. I think I'm
beginning to go into a sewing phase, so they will
