that name space conflicts are to be
solved by the user. As long as he follows sound practices (like reflecting
installations in full blown systems), Michael's packages should work with
ANY distribution. In case of doubt, the user decides.

I suggest you try the discussion.img floppy which has a default store
separate from root. Perhaps by experimenting with this disk, it will become
clearer? If you get confused by the alternating kernels, I can package
something more obvious.

I believe we are old enough to see that Dachstein and Bering (and other
derivatives) provide standard services. Changing the packaging does not
alter that. Offering a way to exist out of these standards will make LEAF
grow. That is what I am proposing.
