In a way, you already can. Try this: Open Legacy, and open your sample file. Click on the Index View tab. Almost at the top right corner is a button labeled: OPTIONS. Click it. Look for the Tags. I use four. Tag 1 in my paternal grandfather's family. Tag 2 is my paternal grandmother's family.

I have used both programs and yes TMG has a major learning curve but as stated it goes way beyond Legacy however the majority of us will never need the in-depth functionality of TMG. Speaking of which does the new version of Legacy include an entry for witnesses and can it print family trees?

Since re-installing Legacy 6 on a new computer, I've not been able to get the RIN numbers to show in the Family View or Chronology View. They're in the Index View, show on Family Group Descendant Reports. In the Customize View tab I have RIN checked in the numbers to add to names section.
