Hi All,
I am trying to put new information, on a family,
into my tree. I had a wife known as Unknown and
another wife who's name is Catharina. When I click
on the wife Unknown and then open her information,
it shows the second wife, Catharina and her
information, as if they were one and the
Hi again,
Now, I can't go to the parents or children of
Catharina or unknown. My Legacy screen seems to
be frozen. I am able to use my computer normally,
with all other programs! :(

Darlene,
Have you tried restarting? If you can get it to open then try going to
FileFile MaintenanceCheck/Repair and see if that clears it.

Hi all,
Well, the program finally unlocked itself and is
running properly, again, but it somehow deleted three

to tell me that tomorrow is another day, and I best
get to bed! LOL Sorry for the false alarm!

Hi, Darlene,
I'm not sure if it was really a false alarm? I had nearly the same problem.
When I clicked in the Index on a certain name an absolutely different name
opened. I tried it again and again. Always the same. Both names were really
existant. Everything was linked properly. I tried it

Ron,
I'm confused. The photos themselves aren't duplicated, only the links

If you manually added those names I agree. If they were added through an
import then you can still step back and restore the original data, then do
the import again after first removing the multimedia links. You can also
make sure you only import unique people and not duplicates so there are no

Lisa,
You might be able to fix this by editing at the gedcom level - if

If you have Access try making a copy of your .fdb file and having a look at

When I save a backup of my family file to a memory stick directly from

Why does legacy do this and is there a way to turn it off?
