If you manually added those names I agree. If they were added through an import then you can still step back and restore the original data, then do the import again after first removing the multimedia links. You can also make sure you only import unique people and not duplicates so there are no

Lisa, If you have Access try making a copy of your .fdb file and having a look at tblBP which contains the paths to the pictures. If one of these is duplicated then I suggest changing the 1 in the USED column to 0 (ie one to zero) then saving as FileName1.fdb and see if that removes the
