The problem with W98 is the memory that is used to keep track of running
applications like Legacy Family Tree. This is a fixed amount of memory that
is not affected my the amount of RAM your computer has. It can
to see what is
happening
in FamilyTree today.

The problem is most likely a memory leak which is a Legacy problem.
I too am using W98se with 512 meg of memory. I
no problems at all, so there maybe
a compromise on the upgrade.
