Actually, the help file does not address the OP's question. She asked Is there a way to add a needed character to the map?. The help file, as far as I can see, only addresses how to add an existing character from the character map to the 'ribbon' of a few select special characters. I see no

Thanks, Mike. I did do that first and it doesn't actually answer my question about adding /new/ characters to the map. Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/

If you enter the information as a Burial Address, typically the address of the cemetery, you can add notes to that address then, by linking the address to everyone who is buried at that address you will be linking the address and the associated notes at the same time. If you want to record a plot

I do use the 'repeat' button, but it only enters the actual Burial site, address, coordinates, etc. It does not appear that it repeats the 'notes' as part of this feature. I like to enter where the cemetery is located and how to get to it into the notes. Guess I'll have to re-type that data

Legacy can only support Western European fonts. If this character is not in the Windows Character Map for Western European characters, then Legacy can't use it. Doing a little digging around, I found that some of the Hawaiian characters are Unicode fonts, which Legacy doesn't support at this

My feedback is DON'T ever merge someone elses information with yours. Anything you haven't researched is open for big trouble. If you keep it in a separate file you won't go wrong, use the import to give you hints and places to find the information your self. You can put some information into
