Julia, Unlike some, I do not have a Census Event, but everybody on the census record does have a Residence Event (although I do not include non-family members, except in unusual circumstances!). I attach the census image to the Source for this Event, and hence everyone named has the image path

I’m sorry Jennifer, but I cannot help you with this, as I do not use Access. I use OpenOffice.org Base, and the SQL, and commands, are not the same as for Access. Hopefully someone with Access knowledge can write the SQL script, and and send it to you (with instructions) as you requested. Ron

I transcribe the census with all of the persons listed. I don't add the unknown persons into my database though until I am able to make the connection of who they are. I definitely want to see their name on the transcription or I would never be able to make the connection. Michele

Despite the number of events that have to be converted I suggest you do them individually. There are differences in the data that can be stored as an event and the data that can be stored with the vital events of Born, Bapt/Chr, Died and Burial in the main part of the individual edit screen. The

Well, more clean up ahead. I've been using just the census year and country as my source and putting the county information in the detail. I can see why it would be good to keep the counties together in the sources. Families living in the same area can be easily gathered together in a report.
