I agree Sue but for the purposes of this report, I might not know who the
father or mother is and in some cases the person has 4 children, I have been
given the children's names but not the name of the husband/partner and I don't

Open v7.5 then open the file from within the program. If you have v8
installed then windows has set that program as the default program to open
your genealogy files when you double click them from windows explorer.

I have a puzzling situation and was hoping someone might be able to help.
I tagged 32,229 records with tag #9. These records all have the same
source and citation which is why they were tagged.
I did a search, subsequent to the tagging of all individuals with the Tag
#9. The result was 32,229
In family view, make sure your own entry is
highlighted. Then go to Tools - Set direct line.
This works for me. (I assume you're using Legacy-8)

Do some of your tagged individuals also have AKAs? Doesn’t sound right that a
GEDCOM would include those instead of counting only “unique” individuals but
that is why the GEDCOM standard is anything but standard.
