Another way to work on locations that may be useful is to use the Search
and Replace from the Search Ribbon.
Find where: Lists-Location [for the long name]
Lists-Location Short [for the short name]
Depending on what needs fixing, this may be an option you've overlooked

The best way to figure out where the pdf went is to create another one. When
the Windows box comes up on your screen where you need to give the pdf a name,
look and see WHERE the pdf is saving too. You can then exit out without
actually saving the second pdf. You should now know where the

I wish there was someone within 1 or 2 hours from the Raleigh, NC area who

You are not doing anything wrong, 1/2 children show only when they are
linked to one of the two people who are spouses in the current family view.
Only 2 children show with the first wife because they are the only
children linked to that couple (children of wives 2 and 3 are not 1/2
kids here).

Bryan,
I should have said, that where I am seeing the results of my formatting

Hi Margaret,
When I save either a document, photo or a pdf, I rarely save it where the
computer would automatically save it. I choose a file -- documents sounds
like a good place for what you are saving or you could try a thumb drive that
you have connected. If you have a lot of pdfs for
Hi Pat,
I hadn't thought of doing that. That's a good solution for some things.
Your problem may be where you are trying to do the edit.
You need to edit existing locations in the Master Location list unless
you want the location with and without the formatting.
It works for me.

Hello Group,
Just found the 'Family File Statistics' report and noticed there is a
'Births By Era' section with a sub section for 'Individuals Born After 2000'
and on my file this section had '0'. I have 4 grandchildren born after
2000. Am I missing something?
Thanks (as usual),
