Multiple occupations would not be a problem if there was a way to select or
flag a 'main' occupation. Genealogy nerds like us appreciate all the
detail, but family members with a casual interest just want to get a quick
handle on their ancestors' lives when they look at the tree.

Family Tree Maker 2005 used to handle this on charting by allowing you to
select a Preferred Occupation (similar to the way legacy allows you to select a
preferred marriage). FTM2005 then allowed you to select only the preferred

Maybe an option for a legacy enhancement?
I imagine, like most modern genealogy programs, TMG included special

Yeah and speaking of grammar, I see I used /then/ when it should have
been /than/ below - got in a hurry. The reason so many of those A's
appeared was because I used lots of spaces, then typed my name. I am
wondering if using the TAB key would be a different result. I will try
it here.
I agree with you, Don, and apparently the third-party that Legacy uses
doesn't offer a digest option. But what I did, which helps, is to create
a filter just for Legacy emails. That way, those emails go directly into
my Legacy folder.

Hi Don,
As others have said, there is no digest for this list.
A better way to manage your mail than digests (which are untimely and
awkward to reply to), is to manage your mail box with filters. Or rules,
