Ian, There are so many ways to identify your direct line ancestors. 1) set relationships (and you can add column in Index View to show the relationship) 2) set Ancestor colours 3) set Direct Line AND check the relevant checkbox in Options - Customise 3.8 so that the direct line shows in Bold.

John, that would be the quickest and easiest method (tags are so easily “attached”); then the lastname CAPS settings would suit everyone’s preferences (on screen, and printed). I’m still coming to grips with Notes and Sources – I’m still wearing Learner plates for both genealogy research
