What app do you use to 'sync' Legacy between your MAIN computer and a
SECONDARY computer?
What do you feel is the advantage of your choice vs another app?
1a. DROPBOX (via cloud) for Legacy data and media, and
1b. EVERNOTE (via cloud) for Research
2. Advantage "set it and forget it"

My 2 cents:
EVENT sounds like the way to go.
There could be more than one Cenotaph, for example one in a family plot and
one or more included in a veterans memorial.
Another similar situation might be entering cenotaphs for those lost in the
sinking of ship like the Titanic.

I do agree.
My standard is: [1. local jurisdiction/repository i.e.township, village,
city, etc], 2.County, 3.State, 4.Country
and apply to other countries similarly by always using three commas for all
locations [usually each has a repository of genealogical data] . The entry

Barton, I feel the same way about finding a lot of things in Legacy. I
don't think you are alone.
I would suggest they they bring in an IT-Human-Factors engineer or whatever
they call them today.

New exported file works fine.
Support suggested this. It worked. Thanks to Jamie at Legacy support.

I am experiencing EXACTLY the same problem.
My symptoms:
(1) preferred picture showing in family view
(2) no pictures showing in media gallery
(3) no pictures attached to this person according to picture gallery tool
(4) in media gallery, no events have an * in the drop down indicating no
After doing the transcribing, the output from Genscriber is a csv file
that can be read as a spreadsheet with column headings. While that
function works great, I have a question.
What is the technique used for moving and re-formating that
csv-data-file in Genscriber to be used in the Legacy

I recently attended a meeting of museum curators at the Pennsylvania
Historical Society and the recommendation there was a minimum of 300
dpi minimum, and a specification of 600 dpi recommended, for document
PRESERVATION. The format recommended was TIF uncompressed. These

Further investigation today I found the following:
These images are ONLY linked to a Master Source according to
Multimedia List Report runs that I did on the new copy of my Legacy
file.
Therefore, I decided to add them to an individual to see if that would
change the symptoms. In doing so I
Ron, thanks. That is a good point about the the source images I have
stored in the Legacy/pictures folder not actually being in Legacy.
I think that Legacy may read and render those images in
Legacy/pictures so that it can present the small pictures in the
gallery. In my case that is 13 small
Morris, thanks.
I have only about 100 picture files so far. They are a mix of JPG, TIF and PDF.
I am exploring the possibility that it may be the total number on
pictures in one-single gallery that causes my trouble. What is the
maximum number of pictures you have in any one single gallery?
I just consulted with an owner of an iPad 3 this morning about taking
notes.
He uses his *iPad 3 *with the *Apple blue tooth keyboard* for note taking
in the field all the time. He said the touch screen keyboard is good but
not what he likes as a fast typist. He also tried using a program on

especially helpful when comparing two documents or when moving files from
one place to another.
(Snap might not work on some programs that have custom window behaviors.)
