I've been using v7.4, and just upgraded to v. 7.5. In neither of
them can I export latitude/longitude, even though I have places
geo-coded. I've tried various GEDCOM types, and NONE of them show
LATI nor LONG as export options to be included in the GEDCOM.
Can anyone explain why this is?
Did you try exporting from Legacy as a Legacy file, not as a gedcom
file? You might want to try that - it does make a difference on
several things. However, I still have Legacy 7.4 and have not upgraded
to 7.5 yet. --Jerry in Michigan

Yes, I have. Still no options to select; however, I exported it
anyway then searched the file for LATI and LONG to no avail.

I don't know if this will shed any light on what you are experiencing or
not, but I exported my file as a Legacy file, then imported into my TNG
website and the coordinates appeared without a problem. I don't know
how TNG handles the importing of the coordinates, but there is no LATI

I've exported LATI and LONG in 7.4 before. (I've not upgraded to 7.5

appear in the customize options, or that the actual GEDCOM you've
exported does not contain those tags? If it's just that they do not

Sorry, but I have tried that several times! If they should up, they
should show up as 4 LATI and 4 LONG.

This doesn't help your case, but they *DO* show up like for me. They
showed up six or seven times, I think for everyone I do have Lat and
Long information for. Obviously, we have something different, probably
a different setting somewhere. Yes, I am on Legacy 7.5. Or, did I

No joy yet. I'm importing into TNG; however, that is a moot

I did as you suggested, and lo and behold, the resulting GEDCOM did
indeed have the _PLAC_DEFN and LATI/LONG entries! I'll import it
