Good morning: I have a situation and I am wondering if anyone have any suggestions on how I might resolve it. This is the situation: I have many John Grants in my ancestry and as you can imagine it is not easy working out who is who. How I resolved it. This is how names have been entered

I am in a similar situation, having many people of the same name - not necessarily related but all living in the same parish. In my experience, AKAs will not do. You need the differences to be immediately obvious. Bend the program to your needs, rather than complying with the program's wish smile

Don't forget the use of privacy [[ ... ]] brackets. Anything entered inside double brackets will not print but will be visible on the monitor screen. These brackets can be used in the name fields and/or the prefix and suffix fields. They will also show on screen in the Index and Marriage and
