Good morning:
I have a situation and I am wondering if anyone have any suggestions on how I
might resolve it.
This is the situation:
I have many John Grants in my ancestry and as you can imagine it is not easy
working out who is who.
How I resolved it.
This is how names have been entered
I am in a similar situation, having many people of the same name - not
necessarily related but all living in the same parish.
In my experience, AKAs will not do. You need the differences to be
immediately obvious.
Bend the program to your needs, rather than complying with the
program's wish smile
Sorry - I meant to say -
I use the Suffix field to differentiate people of the same name.
Highly visible on the Family View.

Don't forget the use of privacy [[ ... ]] brackets. Anything entered inside
double brackets will not print but will be visible on the monitor screen. These
brackets can be used in the name fields and/or the prefix and suffix fields.
They will also show on screen in the Index and Marriage and
. I had thought about
tagging for AKA's which would be similar to what you are suggesting.
