Do you know what the relationship is between Fred Smith and George Smith and Mary Jones? If so, I would be using the index as a source to record AKAs for their names and to document that they were still alive at the time of the event. I would mention that they were the executors of the will

I have found several probate records in UK too, and the wording of the actual entry seems to differ i.e. I haven't found that there is a set wording. My probate event sentence reads [HeShe] had an estate probated [Desc] [onDate] [inPlace].[Sources] [Notes] In the Description I put to Bill

I have missed out on some of this conversation, so I apologize if I am duplicating someone's previous input. What about creating an event such as Birth1, meaning this birth event is not real credible -- similar to how the SourceWriter gives a Surety Level from 0 to 4 with 0 being have not decided

That's why there are Alt. events in the Master Event Definition list... Alt. Birth, Alt. Burial, Alt. Christening and Alt. Death If you use the Alt event and find that event is the correct one, but clicking on the Options button next to the Events/Facts list on the Individual Information edit
