I have a question about the Picture Center.
There are a couple of jpg files in my list that are shown as attached to
someone (there's a '+' under the 'U' column). I can't find the person that
they are attached to. Is there a way from within Picture Center to identify
the person?
Thanks!
Mary
Mary,
See down toward the bottom right, the buttons Next/Prev person using
this picture?
Highlight the picture you want to search and click the arrows. The
Name List and Attached Pictures list will jump to the instance where
that picture is being used.
Sincerely,
Sherry

Did you try clicking the Next/Previous person using Picture (in V6)
buttons?

I have a new computer with Windows 7, I'm running the Deluxe latest version

Syble,
I’m afraid some questions for you!
Have you looked at solution by error number?
Did you use a fresh install of Legacy 7 from the Legacy website?
Where is Legacy installed in your PC?
What is your UAC setting?

I am in a similar situation, having many people of the same name - not
necessarily related but all living in the same parish.
In my experience, AKAs will not do. You need the differences to be
immediately obvious.
Bend the program to your needs, rather than complying with the
program's wish smile
Sorry - I meant to say -
I use the Suffix field to differentiate people of the same name.
Highly visible on the Family View.

Thanks for the feedback. I will give this a try. I had thought about
tagging for AKA's which would be similar to what you are suggesting.

Don't forget the use of privacy [[ ... ]] brackets. Anything entered inside
double brackets will not print but will be visible on the monitor screen. These
brackets can be used in the name fields and/or the prefix and suffix fields.
They will also show on screen in the Index and Marriage and
You can set up your family view to show the AKAs; that's what I do so
I can see the name variations right away; like instead of burial or
christening info, you can have it show the AKAs

Another thought - have you unchecked Override Source options - include all
