[LegacyUG] Merging from PAF

Has anyone had a problem with the merge? I have someone in our user group who had the middle name field land in the surname spot and the surname land in the title suffix spot. They have over 4,000 people in there file and really don't want to have to hand change each one. Anyone know of a fix??

I have two monitors. I want Legacy to open on one monitor and fit the screen. I open Legacy, move it to the preferred monitor and size it, save everyone and close. Thie works for most programs. However, when I reopen Legacy it is always on the first monitor and the wrong size. How do I make it

Is there any way to track which occurrences of a particular source type have no images? As an example, I have a source type called 1861 British Census. Every time I use this source, the detail should have a copy of the census image linked to it. Is there any way to produce a list of all

I use dual monitors. Rather than click the button to make Legacy full screen (or drag to the top of the monitor in Win7), I click and drag a corner to make it full screen. That way I can stil move the window back and forth between monitors. Then when you open it again, it will be on the

Melissa, So so we're sure to be talking about the same thing - you import a file from another program into Legacy. Once you've imported, you *merge* the duplicates. The names should be imported into the correct field in Legacy if they're entered correctly in PAF. Without seeing what's going on

Sherry-  I used to have two monitors.  When I did this, I would put Legacy on the second monitor with a SMALL window.  Exit Legacy. Reopen Legacy, and Legacy would almost always open on the second monitor. Then, I would enlarge Legacy on the second monitor *ALMOST* full size on the monitor, just a
