I did try the GEDCOM re-install and then the original version
re-install under a different name, but the one that did the trick was
to do a system restore to a few days ago.
The only major system change during that time was that I had tried to

Is there a way to create links to non-graphic files in Legacy? I have
several PDF documents (e.g. census record downloads) and other documents
that I would like to be able to link to from one or more individuals in
Legacy, but can only find a way to store image files (.bmp, jpg, gif or
tiff etc).
Sherry,
Will Legacy 5 have another update to fix the date problem that changes
-mm-dd format May 1850 to 1850-1805?

If you're going to back-track, you need to do the following steps else
you'll run into problems:
1. Uninstall Legacy 6.0.

I am being mailed a Gedcom created by Gene (genealogy software, as I
understand it) and it was exported to a Gedcom, but from a Maac computer.
Does anyone know if Legacy is able to import that? I have no idea yet.
Thank you.
Robert

either the Sound or Video buttons and change the file type to All Files.
You can then open them from within Legacy but they are not included in Reports.

It should import just fine. I would first open/create a new Legacy family

I'm using the deluxe version but this should work in standard.
1. click on the picture icon to open the picture gallery;
2. Select either the sound or video icon on the picture gallery;
3. When the file selection window opens click on the down arrow
beside the box that says sound or video

I added a new source tonight, and had no problems.

Hi Toni,
Take a look on the Right side of the Source Master List at the box
labelled Show Only.
I think you'll probably find that something in this is checked and
when you uncheck it, your sources will reappear.

Hmmm.. Very similar to what I had happen yesterday, when I lost all
of my notes files. Through this board and the excellent suggestions
offered I was finally able to do a System Restore to an earlier date
of a couple of days previous and all was well. System Restore is
