Hi Cathy, thanks for your reply. I'm feeling a bit dumb here, but the words
Include Private Individuals do not appear anywhere on the options on the
Format tab, under report options For now I will just delete those who I
don't want to show up on reports.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help Dennis - under the format tab I have no option for

You tried this option too?

How in the world did an attachment from the last message (Nov 19, 2005 at

I thought NO ATTACHMENTS were transmitted via the Legacy server???

Hi Lynne,
Had another look at the Descendant Narrative Report. One thing I have found
is that if under Index Options the Print birth and death dates on names is
checked this seems to override the private option. Is it only in the Index
where you have the problem as It is OK in the reports on
In fact the Index seems to totally ignore the Private settings

Ron,
Bert sent me a screen shot earlier - he has an extra line on his report
options, the Include Private Individuals check box under the format tab,
which I don't have. He thought this is because I have the standard version,
not deluxe. I've bought the deluxe version this morning, so when

Apparently this is a Deluxe feature. It seems kind of odd that the
standard edition would allow you to mark them private though.

Attachements are not deleted by the server (see the guidelines.

Just ignore attachements and don't open them.

Hi Dennis,
I agree that does seem unusual. Can you do me a favour, though and just
check on your set up whether an Individual's details still appear in the
Index on the Descendant Narrative Report If the index display dates option
is checked even when the individual is marked private.

Cliff,
Did you add the pictures (scanned images of census, etc.) to the sources
or the events? If you add them to the source detail as I have, then
they will NOT appear on the pedigree-style web pages. If you add them
to the events themselves, then they will appear. I chose to put them

What happens in Legacy reports if you have used the same source detail with
census picture for multiple events or multiple individuals? You might not
want census images repeated for every individual in a household or a group
picture repeated for every individual who attended a family
Ed:
If you have the selected Source copied to the clipboard, then you can
do the following:
1. In the Family view, Open the individual for editing.
2. On the left side there are 4 buttons (up arrow, - sign, 3 - signs,
solid box), that do the following:

Lynne;
I was wondering if you did not want the person to show in the reports or the
birth and death information. If it is just the dates have you tried using
the double brackets [[19 Nov 2005]], this will keep the date private without
using any other settings.
Another option you might try rather
Thanks, Dennis, I will have a closer look at this, although at present I do
not use these options.

Within Microsoft Windows you can use the Ctrl or Shift keys and selection

I think you missed the part of Cathy's email below that shows you how
the clipboard source will be applied to ALL data for your individual

to anything you've entered for that person. Try a test, and then
review the sources
Looking again, I guess I did miss it.
Thanks to all who replied. I almost have what I wanted. This certainly will
speed things up.

Greetings,
I have found a problem with using list style formatting for my family group
sheets. I noticed in the burial events that some of the paragraphs were
being duplicated. Can someone else confirm if they can replicate this bug.
I am using the Legacy 6, latest built, deluxe version.
A few days ago I stopped getting anything from Legacy. I am wondering if the
group has gone silent, or if I am unsubscribed.
