I too found Gails reponse helpful.
I have a different issue. I am gathering data from living relatives

When you attach a given source to name, birth info, death info,
burial info, ... it is not copied to each of those entries, but only
linked as you requested. Thus only a extra pointer to the source
is stored, not all the source info. This is one of the advantages of
having a full relational
If I use Geoff's filing

have no physical evidence of these long ago ancestors.
I just recently renumbered the MRINs to use the MRIN filing system, however
I still had over 800 families so what I have done is number a file folder

Hi Dennis Dave,
Thank you for helping me learn to do the search for modified date. I was not
entering the date correctly.
I appreciate the many many times both of you have helped the users group.

The date should be entered the way you have set in Legacy for your
dates.
May I inject a word of caution into changing RINs. If one uses Pedigree Web
Pages then changing the RINs will make updating the pages impossible as they
are based on the RINs and all of the pages will have to be uploaded onto the
site instead of only those which have been changed. No problem

Keeping in line with my current philosophy of having lots of different
source details under one master source (as in the example of having multiple
tombstone linked to a single cemetery), I set up Personal Correspendence
as the Master Source. This is both the Source List Name and the Title. I
I think I forgot to switch to plain text the first time, but my apologies if

Hi Dennis, you said this in a much more clear way than I could - thanks!
I think what I would like to see is the ability for a single master to have
mutiple identical citations that act together as a single unit.
Here's some sample data to (hopefully) demonstrate my point below:

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to search for all events which have
been created by using the sentence override. I am trying to eliminate

I am a new user of Legacy. I have used The Master Genealogist for about 5

It does look to me like it has
