Isn't it less work when you create a new website with these extra marriages
and merge
, and
sophisticated searching. I (and others on this list) use it constantly.

I know
You can run it just on your computer or generate a full html for uploading.
One caution on html -- because of its structure, it requires that you upload
a program file which is not allowed on some public servers (Rootsweb, et
al).

Sorry -- should have included the link -- www.treepad.com. It runs fine on
Win 95 and has the added benefit of being very small -- only 380K.
As for organizing papers, you might check the archives of this group; there
has been much discussion of the various methods.

Nice job with the records.
Now if there was just an off button for that music. . .

At a start, I would do a shut-down, restart, and try again. It may not be
logical, but it does sometimes clear the board.

In my previous post I said that I had not seen any problems. I should amend
that slightly -- no problems that were reproducible or consistent. In the
few cases reported a Check Repair solved the problem. This should become
regular habit, just as backing up.

A record of changed files has been on the Beta wish list for a good long
time, but is rather low in priority at the moment. As to Boris' point, I
agree. I believe that a web dedicated add-on is the best solution, but don't
know if this is being actively pursued.
