Hi all... We have a SLES9 system that needs one package updated beyond what's on the service pack CDs. I got the RPM file and went into Yast/Software/Change source of installation and added a Local directory entry to the directory where the RPM file lives. I said Continue when it prompted me

Hi Lee, You can update a single package by entering this command : rpm -Fvh your-file.rpm The F is for freshen, or upgrade if package is newer than the current and do nothing if there is no such package installed on the system. To update a bunch of packages, you can specify multiple package
