The limits are comming from the tda10046 info. I think the correct thing
to do here is to not have the tda1004x driver define frequency limits, as
it's the tuner that has the limits.
Nak. You must not remove these limits unless you make sure
that all tuner drivers which might be
IMO, the better would be not to initialize frequency ranges at the
demods (since this is tuner stuff).

Hi Olivier,
sorry for my private reply last night (...beginners mistake).
Again: I did what you said and the device is now found. But the tuner seems to
be a xc3028.
There is a registry-entry in the INF-file:

Hallo,
I have a dvb-s cards that used to work totally fine in linux but now
only work on Windows.
The Card is a Pinnacle PCTV Sat so I used to use the modules dvb-bt8xx
and cx24110. Yesterday I was watching some show with that card as the
stream broke down.
I can't really see whats wrong because

It's not that random: 2147483647 equals INT_MAX and also LONG_MAX on 32

Hello. I have a kinda difficult problem here
so I appreciate any input.
I am using a PC sat receiver with skystar2 and m-audio (pci audio card).
I play streaming satellite radio using mplayer and arts.
I need arts in order to easily mix audio files stored locally and satellite
radio.

Hi Holger/Olivier/Everyone,
as Holger opened it (THX!), I found out that the main chip is a
dibcom7700c1.
So I tried to install the device as a TERRATEC_CINERGY_DT_XS_DIVERSITY
wich uses the same chip. (I modified the dvb-usb-ids.h file and used the
dvb-usb-dib0700-03-pre1.fw firmware)
Now the

I think the device is based on the STK7700-PH component by Dibcom.
The STK7700-PH family is based on the following components:
- a Dibcom demodulator with an integrated USB interface (Dib7700)
- a tuner and analog decoder which are provided by a third party partner

This would be easy to do. There is already a function,
dvb_frontend_get_frequeny_limits(), that does this. It prints a warning
message if neither the demod nor the tuner define a limit. In this case,
it returns zero for the max frequency, so any attempt to tune with a driver
