Speaking of lute songs, does anyone know where to find a renaissance version of What if a day with tab accompaniment? You can use version in Poulton's Dowland book to make an accompaniment. It's also in Valerius as Merck toch hoe Sterck, I'll send you the version I made for a workshop once.

Bruno I have many recordings of lute songs, but I don't recall hearing the shades you mention (next time I'll hear them more carefully). .. We have to be carefull with recordings because anything is possible in terms of blending (just to remember classical guitar and orquestra!), but live is
