Hi collective lute wisdom,
can somebody sum up the situation on gut strings for me. As I am a heavy
gut player, I'd like to
understand what is going on in this field.
As far as I understood it, the production and import of gut strings
(esp. beef gut) used to be forbidden in the EU,

Dear collective lute wisdom,
is it true that the production of gut in Europe will be prohibited by
European law?
As stated on Aquila's web page the production of gut strings and import
of raw materials will be prohibited:

Hope you will release something on your Josquin project soon.

Dear collective stringwisdom,
today I passed by a Guitar Shop with lots of new and well built Ukuleles.
I played some instruments and they sounded quite good.
My idea, as Ukuleles are quite small an robust, to me they seem to be a
perfect
instrument for travelling.

Maybe a little off topic, but hilarious...
Microsoft created a computer program called Songsmith to generate songs
from the input of numbers.
So this composer asked himself; Why not put in some actual economic
data. The results are really funny.
