The reentrant tuning often provides many ways to produce a particular pitch.
Has anyone analyzed these options to try to discover patterns in the ways in
which Kapsberger assigned such notes?

mention of a new type of string which allegedly
have a look at aquila corde. they make a range of strings in what
they call nylgut - a combination of nylon and pvf.
there's also an aquila usa site.

They are called Alliance KF and made by Savarez. I use it for the diapasons
on my theorbo.
It looks quite similar to gut - the fibres are twisted - which could lead to
confusion. My understanding is that they are entirely synthetic.
