[LUTE] Da Milano
Dear All, I'm looking for the two books in Neapolitan tab from 1536 Intavolatura de viola o vero lauto cio e Recercate, Canzone Francese, Motette, composto per lo Eccelente & Unico musico Francesco Milanese, non mai piu stampata Libro primo (secondo) della Fortuna, Naples 1536 There should be a Minkoff reprint from 1977 I can't recall seeing it on the net. Gerbode has the facs of two volumes by Sulzbach in italian tab, but I can't remember now if they correspond to the ones in neapolitan tab. Any suggestions? Best wishes G. -- To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
[LUTE] da Milano duet wanted
Dear all, as it seems there was a ("recently discovered" ) duet by F. da Milano[1]l in one edition of the Lute News some years ago. Would anyone be so kind as to send me a copy of the piece? Thank you very much! [LUTE] da Milano
All, I'm trying very hard to find a copy of the edition of da Milano by Arthur Ness. Does anyone know of or have a copy of this for sale? I'd be grateful for any replies. [LUTE] da Milano editions
Hi to all, I'd like to buy a facsmile of work by Francesco da Milano,so I've found some, searching through the net, at http://www.saulbgroen.nl/. But does anyone know the differences between Intabolatura da leuto del divino Francisco da Milano novamente stanpata and the Intavolatura de viola o vero lauto of 1536, because the former seems to be dated as earlier of 1536 (and seems to have less recercares; anyone knows the #ness recercares included in the two versions?) [LUTE] da Milano
Is there an index giving incipits of da Milano's works with their Ness numbers? I am also looking for a facsimile of the fantasia Ness #38 from the _Intabolatura de lauto di M. Francesco Milanese et M. Perino Fiorentino_ of 1547 (abbreviated 47G3 in the Ness book). It would be appreciated if someone could point me to a source. -- Stephen Fryer Lund Computer Services ** The more answers I find, the more questions I have ** To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
