the subject says it all: The current code destroys your document when
saving!
The problem must be related to mathed and the symbol stuff that has been
added in the last few days. Everything worked fine on Wednesday.

Do you mean to tell me that The Prince is not the set textbook for
CS1072 Professional Issues ? What on earth do
all commands are no more shown as symbol, for example:
\int space
is in the mathbox int in red.
dvi-output works well.
