Chicago Manual reference in footnote with bibtex?

Is there any relatively simple way to implement the Chicago Manual of Style's full reference in a footnote style? I saw a reference to \footcite in LaTex but a) it's not clear to me how to use it even in LaTeX and there was a note in the LyX wiki implying that it was not implemented in LyX.
