into LyX. I just tested by exporting that text from LyX to pdf,
and reimport it.

I can open the original word document with ooweriter, but when trying to
export it to latex I get an error message that my JRE is defect.

i was able to convert some docs with czech accents via pdfedit,
it may work for you too.

the one reported by Stefan on the devel list. Bennett, perhaps you could
provide a package with the pixmap cache disabled (in qt4/GuiPainter.cpp) for
those users that don't need the
