How come I do not see the menus in Lyx 2 (RC3) under Ubuntu 11.04 (32 bits)? All the icons are there, but not the usual menus. EK

Hi, I am wondering if it is conceivable to generate (with a script) Lyx files, that can be later opened in Lyx to perform final editing/touch-ups before generating my final book? Is their some documentation on the Lyx file format somewhere? Will the Lyx format be easier or harder to manage
