Usually tarballs leave it to the user to do the ./configure step, the
automake/autoconf step is usually done by the developer.
To get rid of the Makef

The mapping cache may sometimes fail to update itself correctly, deleting

built the package and installed it using eg. dpkg -i
libhildon1_2.3.0-1~unreleased_i368.deb, is there a simple way to downgrade
to the original package from repository? I know I can find the current
repository version and then install it using apt-get install
package-name=version. Can I do it using a
% chroot /media/mmc2/arm-lltc
% /bin/ls
(Supposing of course that /bin/ls is compiled against glibc2.3 or
whatever is in maemo3.0)
