Hi
I am a prospective Gsoc'15 applicant.
I found the Anonymous mailing list idea for project interesting.
While researching about the same I found this thread. I have a queries
regarding this :

Hi,
I think this might help you.
Timed delay or timed delivery of messages - Suppose I wish to post a
message to list but instead of composing and sending i prefer to send it
delayed like I wish to post a message at 4am but since i would be sleeping
at that time so what i can do,I will post my
of their kind. Some syndromes are not cured beacuse of social
stigmas that could find a possible solution in such lists.

Aside: I think if you actually use such a list you'll discover that
most shy people are far more afraid of being flamed than they are of
social stigma *outside* of the discussion thread. OTOH, it is likely
to bring out the worst in trolls. IMHO YMMV etc.
We can't overlook the fact here that

Hi all
I wish to seek your opinion regarding generating fake id in anonymous list.
There are two options to choose from
1) Different fake id for user per thread
2) Same fake id for user regardless of thread
Which do you think is better

Hi ashish
No its not a bug. Probably there are more than one instances of mailman
running on your system (mailman start). Check for them using ps -ef | grep
mailman command on your terminal (if you are using linux) and sudo kill
those process ids'. Eg.process having id 12345 can be killed by using
the error. As I kill the process, It killed all the
process of mailman. Hence I got Mailman REST API not available. Please
start Mailman core. Which means I need to start mailman again and If I do
so the whole problem repeats itself.
Thanks

I totally understand that claiming to provide total privacy to any
individual could be vague and debatable in this case. And if we apply the
usual encryption it becomes very easy to hack. So using normal
cryptography is ruled out.
But if we could implement salting.
We generate a salt when a user
1) We create a database table with the schema | orig_id | fake_id |
thread_name | where whenever the user posts a first message to some thread
a new fake random id is generated and stored in this table. For a specific
user fake_id remains same for specific thread.
2) We need to remove the old
