Yes it did work in the past and contained some _really_ interesting time
series data. The problem with using that server are twofold:
- it is a huge capabilities document currently at 2.3Mb (at
http://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/wms?request=GetCapabilities) which
takes a long time to download and

I have no idea if those ever worked. If you do not care too much about
that features, I could easily remove it from the example. Otherwise, I
would ask you to investigate and fix it.

It appears that the various Layers have no element in the NASA context
document, is it hoping/relying on the DataURL param instead?
