Rafal,
You can simply take the binaries out of the MS4W distribution and place
them somewhere else, under your own Apache installation.
Basically, take the contents of the cgi-bin directory of MS4W and put
them somewhere else. You will probably want to only have the
mapserver.exe inside cgi-bin though, you'll have to move the .dll's an
dother executables to somewhere else, but make sure that somewhere else
is in the MapServer CGI's path, so it can still find them.
Technically I suppose you could do the same with the binaries found
inside FWTools, if you like those better.
The dll's and exeuctables provided with these packages are what you want
though.

Subject: [UMN_MAPSERVER-USERS] Non-MS4W Windows binaries for MapServer 5
Dear All,
I am looking for MapServer 5.x. binaries precompiled for Windows.
I know, that there is the MS4W ( I've been using it for testing) but in
opinon of my network amdins that solution is not safe enough for a
proffessional service with copyrighted data behind it.
What I am looking for is a MapServer to be put on top on Apache under
Windows OS. I thought I will find it on MapServer's website, but there
is only a link to MS4W and FWTools.
I will appreciate your help.
Kind regards:
Raf
