I've downnloaded Merkaartor 0.15 for windows,
and after a few edits the programm gets stuck.
Nodes cannot be moved anymore, the only thing I can do is editing new ways but
can't adjust the nodes anymore,
only moving the lines or polygons.
Reinstalling the programm and installing it again but
Can someone confirm/infirm, please?
Thanks

Boris,
Sorry to say but you are not very constructive in your trollish email.
It would have been nice to report your problems BEFORE the release. That's
why there was a freeze period, to solve problems/bugs.
As a matter of fact, I can't reproduce your immediate problem on XP right
now, although

I still have troubles selecting nodes, sometimes it works, but mostly not.
The main problem is that when I move over the selected way with the mouse, the
way itself is highlighted violet,
but the nodes not. I can move the line element, but not the

Aaahhh Ok. Good catch!
Indeed, since 0.15, nodes are only selectable if they are visible...
The level from wich they are visible is configured in Tool-Preferences
Visual - Maximum meters per pixel to show nodes. Increase the value to
show nodes from lower zoom levels...

De/selecting separate move mode doesn't make any difference and results
often in crashing of the programm.
Indeed, there is a crash when going from one to another. Will be corrected.
Whats the purpose of this function?
In Separate move mode, you have to toggle the Move mode on the toolbar
Ok, that explains it all I guess.
What still is not clear is Maximum meters per pixel?
I see that the maximum value is 10
Where can I find and see those zoomlevels?

Zoom levels are not fixed. The value means:
When, at the current zoom level, 1 pixel on the screen is equivalent to x
meters in real life at most, display the
Thanks for the explanation,

I'm downgrading it back to 0.14 sorry but this version is not working very well

Hi all,
reading all of this trouble with the released 0.15 version for Windows I
just want to add a few words:
It works on my machine (win XP sp3) with a few exceptions: moving nodes
is quite slow if the virtual nodes feature is enabled. This seems to be
a known issue. I can live with it
Are the crashes always happening with the same area? If so, could you
please provide the location.

Nope, it's similar like Peter Conrad wrote, after a couple of downloads in
different areas xml parsing gets stuck.
Maybe I should try to deselect the virtual nodes and see if this happens again.
