In the last couple of weeks I've been through much of my collection, pulling out
some duplicates and other specimens to sell. I've listed them below, including
details on the provenance I have, where possible the original dealers card will
be included. Several of these prices are below my

Hi Jim...
You got this wrong...no political angle at all...I fully agree with you. NASA
shouldn't have to pay for the Australian leg
of the project. And I appreciate that NASA funded Rob's work so far anyway
which is very laudable. I am in fact disappointed
that the Australian Government is
Dear Shawn
You are absolutely correct. It is illegal to collect meteorites in India. And
meteorites are government property. The authority for this is the Geological
Survey of India. And as far as I know, they never trade or deal with any
individuals or private institutions. There cannot be any

Hello Greg,
The gall you must have to pass on thousands of dollars of fake
material, take donations for a good cause, flake on the cause (but
keep many of the donations) and then rag on me for selling *accurately
described material*...just shove off. You've done more harm to this

Greg,
Like your NWA's (maybe from Algeria), Camel Donga (no export permit)
and Almahata Sitta (possibly legal at best) on ebay -- to say nothing
of everyone's Sulagiri and most of the Canyon Diablo on the market
today? How about those Sikhote's you're offering? Exported before

I am not attacking you by any means. Not like your blacklist website you have.
I am simply pointing out the IMCA has FAILED to police its own members and
allow them to sell illegal meteorites! I got my Almahatta Sitta from Anne
Black, IMCA VP... Talk to her about the legal issues of it as she
Ditto Michael. Your personal beef with me and the IMCA for booting
you is sad, but you screwed up in a large way, multiple times. Way to
brush off the topic of unreturned museum donations yet again.
Almahata Sitta was issued an export permit by the University of
Khartoum. Whether that is legal
Is nobody else finding this discussion a little bit tedious? Would it
not be a bit more adult to bicker in private, and then make the outcome
public (if absolutely necessary)?

Hello Jason, Greg, and all,
2 very important facts to remember at all times:
- IMCA Board Members are not required to sit in front of their
computers 24/7, just in case someone has a question or a problem. We
are allowed to have a life.
- Anything the IMCA Board decides to say or do will
So.. are you saying The IMCA only publicly denounce a persons actions if the
person is
NOT a memeber of the IMCA. Otherwise they hide the shameful actions of
their members?

I found 15 copies of the New Orleans newspaper with large article about the
meteorite fall. This was the article that announced the fall, and I was there 4
hours after seeing it on the internet.
I found these while cleaning out a closet today. $10.00 each plus $3.00
shipping.
They are a piece
Perhaps the job of the IMCA is not to police the world's laws, but to ensure
authenticity, which is what it was set up to do.

As not an IMCA member, I watch this discussion with a focused ear. Optimism

Sorry Richard but this an endemic issue that will always be viewed with a
turned head. What bothers me the most is the fact that it get's ignored in
relation to who is involved. I don't really care who sells an illegal rock
unless it's an imca member who is sworn to the uphold the truth.. like
