Hiii and happy new year,,,
I have recently found few rocks (over 5 Kg total) that I believe is
chondrite. The bottom half of one of these rocks (~1.5Kg) was (for long

Hello List, Is there any one on the list who can tell me how old G.B.
meteorites are? And how they came up with the age? I have read anywhere from
15 to 25 thousand years, is this right and why a 10 thousand year gap?
Thanks, Tom

On most lists it is not allowed to send in HTML format.

Hi Lars;
That is a good point you bring up. HTML formatted messages can cause
problems, and are often unreadable by certain email clients.
Text-formatted messages only is a List policy, I just have not been
enforcing it recently. So members, please only send messages in text.

They look like ordinary sedimentary rocks to me with grains of quartz. I am
no expert but it would take alot to convince me these are anything but Earth
rocks.
Keep trying though, sooner or later your luck is bound to change.

Lars,
Using a good Anti-virus program that is properly updated on a regular basis
is a much simpler solution. Most of the listees are very virus conscience
and few have ever spread anything of any magnitude.

Dear Mark, M, and List;
I second Marks opinion, I have seen this sedimentary cemented rock type
scattered for miles. Note that the grains are sorted by size from a
stream bed movement. Nice rock pictures.
