site are temporarily broken again, and since you are
mainly interested in seeing images of this meteorite,
here are some links to images that I took in 2000:

Hi list, The radio show Coast 2 Coast has a web site. I sent them some
NWA 5000 micrographs and one of them is a vesicle that has what looks like the
number 7 on it. They posted them today.
This is a great way to get non meteorite collectors to look at Meteorite

Certainly, Willamette is an unexpected pronunciation if you aren't
familiar with the area. But is there something odd about Allende? I've
always assumed it was (approximately) ah-YEN-dey. Is it something other

Actually, now that you mention it, that makes since, but I, personally, have
never given the Spanish factor a first thought, and
Actually, lama is perfectly correct English for llama; the word isn't
Spanish, but Quechuan, which has a much softer palatal L than most
Spanish (and even in Spanish, LL varies in pronunciation from Y to
something very close to L, depending on region and dialect). And the

Hi, Darren, Chris, List
The great dictionarianist Samuel Johnson

A fair description. I spent some time once in Llangollen, and the
patient coaching of some locals got my pronunciation moderately close.
It took some work, though.

Hi Chris, Darren,
No comment on the Americanization or Anglification, but
Allende is a proper surname and spliting the L's like Darren
