Hi Grag,
I enjoyed the book very much. It's on my bookshelf now.
It is easy to read and not too technical. You get some insights into the
thinking of the scientists involved in analyzing ALH 84001, from Robbie
Score (she found it) to David McKay (of McKay et al.), including some
scientists
H IGrag,
Oops, sorry. Meant Greg.

I'm sorry you seem to have issues with the IMCA Dan but if you have problems
you could easily approach the association to report any concerns. I'm
wondering if this has something to do with you being removed from the IMCA
in the past and denied re-entry again last week? It would seem to me that
I am sorry that this experience has made me question

Hi Dan,
What was the response of the IMCA when you filed a complaint with them?
No jeff, the only coincidence is that you would respond to me now
after ignoring me for several weeks and multiple attempts in
contacting you who is the vice president of IMCA and you who are the
one who told me to re-apply when i approached IMCA to ask for my
membership back.. and since you want
Hi Dan,
I'm not about to be dragged into a debate with you and do not have time to
read another long-winded IMCA bashing email. As I told you, I was away for
the month of May on a meteorite hunt at Whitecourt and travelling in the US
with no access to usual email. Your application was handled
Who is dragging you into anything you are the one who started this..
im the one who got ripped off not you.. you are the one who chose to
call it ironic that this happend at the same time i re-applied.. i had
no problems keeping my personal business personal but you seemed to

Dear List,
Thanks a lot for all the kind replies, on and off-List.
I was merely helping my friend (and List member) Gert Jan Netjes though, who
had the initial contact with the planetarium and delivered most of the
pieces.
Honour should go to Gert Jan.
All the best,

Hey List,
I just put up 30 Mayo Belwa's on Ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemitem=260802281327#ht_4940wt_907.
These are a bit smaller than what was at Heritage, but they are priced to move.
These come from the Jim Schwade collection.

Hi John and Jim,
Thanks for the clarifications. Every piece of hematite that I've had has
been attracted to a magnet, but as you said, it probably had other iron with
it.
And what I meant by hematite is a metal was that it is a metal as far as
most people are concerned. It is 70% iron and
Hi Bob!
Hematite usually has a non-metallic reddish appearance. Doesn't look
like metal at all to me! Sunburn, and weathering can change it's look
over time. Maybe there are geographic differences???
However, Hematite also occurs that appears metallic/silver often
called Specularite.
