Samba VFS extd_audit failing on OpenBSD 3.8 with package samba-3.0.13p0

Hello, I'm using OpenBSD 3.8 with the samba-3.0.13p0 package, trying to use VFS extended audit in order to track changes to files that are accessed via samba. When I enable vfs extd_audit or audit on a share, any attempt to access that share (from any client) fails with the error:
