As you may know, Vioxx was approved by the FDA by Merck omitting a few heart
attacks from the data of their test groups.
It was said to have killed nearly 60,000 and caused thousands of strokes. It
settled in a class action for 4.8 BILLION dollars. I would assume profits from
the liability
Republicans in the state legislature are trying to pass a law requiring that
voters show a form of ID with a picture on it before someone can vote. This
does NOTHING to disenfranchise any legal voter since most of them have
either a driver license or can be issued a state ID card with a picture.
Well most people do not think these things through, I think it does
disenfranchise a lot of legal voters, an example, and this is only one, I
can name others, this would take away most if not all of the people who are
in nursing homes and places like that, both elder and young.

Most of them do not have a picture ID, are you telling me that if you are
required to be at or in a certain place and you had to furnish ID to get in,
that will take care of the requirement at the time you vote, --I Don't
think so--, like I said, people need to think these things through
An Jeremy I would agree as long as all protocols have been followed.
Currently I have a friend who has a voting card for his deceased dog, it
just goes to show there are no checks and balances to who can register or
vote.

Not unusual, I am still a little bit confused. I use a voter registration card
and my drivers license in order to vote. My license is on record and then you
have to be on record as a legal voter in your precincts to show that you are in
your polling district. Just a picture I.D. does not mean
