All this talk about Montgomery dinghy's has motivated me to make my annual
posting about our 7'-11 that is still for sale. Last year I swore that if
someone didn't buy it I would turn it into a coffee table. However, it
dwarfed the sofa and loveseat. Then it was going to be a Jacuzzi bathtub,
but
Thank you to all of you folks who expressed interest in the 7'-11
dinghy. I went from having zero interest to having more buyers than I had
boats. The lucky new owner is John Edwards, who I'm sure will enjoy the boat
in years to come. Also, thanks for all the good ideas and comments, like
I've been holding off on jumping into
this thread with the old adage "if you can't say anything nice don't say
anything at all". However, I'm not convinced Kyle deserves all the trash talk
coming his way and seriously doubt that he posted his information just to piss
everyone off. I am
That was an interesting story about really small boat cruising. However, I
thought the Marquesas' were about 1000 miles northeast of Tahiti. Are there
two island groups that share the same name? If they went to the other
Marquesas' in a Sea Pearl that would really be impressive.

Hey...if you get a whole bunch of blocks you could keep the rigging and
raise the whole deck. That way you could have standing headroom in the cabin
too! All in a 15 foot boat!

San Diego Bay is a great place to spend part of
that week. They have good launch facilities and lots of nearby attractions to
see. You can sail past the Navy yard and see the Coronado Bay Bridge. Or, head
out past Point Loma and crash in the waves for a while. San Diego typically has

There's not much more to be said about these two so I'll keep it short.
Here in the Southwest we have more vertical shoreline than horizontal. We
opted for a handheld for the simple reason that when you are anchored in a
cove (canyon) for the night all the wattage in the world will not transmit

Anyone in the south with a 17 looking to replace their trailer? This one
showed up on E-bay and looks like it would do the job.

Question for Keith and perhaps others...I recently joined another mailing
list that has been set up so that reply sends a message back to the sender
and reply to all sends it to the full group. I've been on the list for
more years than I can recall and it seems the volume of messages has
increased
All that just to swap trailers...why didn't you just launch the boat?

I know we've pretty well worn out most things Montgomery, but this is still
a Montgomery forum as far as I know. I'm sure somewhere out there is a
cruising forum who would appreciate your local knowledge and stories, but
speaking only for myself they're wearing a little thin. Maybe you could
for yourself as far as I'm concerned, Stephen.
Connie, If you're going to limit the

We're headed down the coast in the next few weeks (Vancouver to San Diego) and I have
a M 7'-11 dinghy that I would be happy to deliver to any takers along the way. I had
it sold last time, but the deal fell through due to an illness. I'd be happy to offer
details off-line if anyone is

I'm sure that isn't going to happen in all conditions, but it's getting to

So, when all your keels have disintegrated to dust because of toxins in
our water supply. And the government starts charging a wind tax, would
you not feel compelled to discuss politics?
Bob,
Please be sure and post a message when your keel disintegrates due to the

Hi all,
I was interested in the times posted re: setting up your M15. I haven't
really timed myself . When does the timing start? From the moment you
park
in the lot at the launch ramp?
