Yesterday (Saturday) my Husband and I got two Life Birds photographed! We
were lucky enough to see both the Golden-Crowned Kinglet and the
Ruby-Crowned Kinglet near Bay Point Park in Red Wing. We were also able to
photograph Osprey fishing at Colvill Park. There were six active Eagles
there
of
that Pileated Woodpecker even with a small cell phone!!!

My Husband and I just had a fun birding weekend in Horicon, Wisconsin that I
thought I'd share for those who don't know about the Horicon Marsh. This is
a HUGE marsh that is partly owned by the State and partly Federally owned.
Most of the marsh isn't accessible by car but you can bike, hike,
the
apple tree flowers!! We've had a ton of Orioles, two Rose-breasted
Grosbeaks, a zillion Goldfinches, three Hummingbirds, and the list goes on
and on. I am so glad we enjoy birds and photographing them as that
combination is the perfect medicine for him right now!!!

Hi everyone! Kevin and myself spent a couple of weeks last month photograph
birds along the Gulf Coast of Texas and in
We've once again posted new images on our website. We were lucky enough to
watch Whooping Cranes in the Necedah National Wildlife Reserve (in
Wisconsin) training with an ultralite for their migration to western Florida
and have included a photo from that. Also, most of our photos now have a

Kevin and I photographed Black Bears at the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary
in Orr, MN last weekend. If you are not familiar with it, you can check it
out at www.americanbear.org. We would highly recommend a visit there.
We have updated our website with black bear photos and the following
Kevin and I returned to Florida March 13th - 23rd to photograph birds again.
This time we went to St. Augustine (again!), Kissimmee, and the Panhandle.
The focus of our last trip (December/January) was on Great Blue Herons in
their breeding plumage. The focus this trip was on Snowy and Great
February 1st Kevin and I headed to Monticello to photograph Trumpeter Swans.
The weekend of February 6th we headed to Lock and Dam 18 in Burlington, Iowa
to photograph Bald Eagles and American White Pelicans. Some of the photos

My Husband and I spent two weeks in Florida during the recent holidays
photographing birds. We obtained 29 Life Birds! Having visited three
different rookeries (St. Augustine, Venice, Brandon), we were able to
observe and photograph baby Great Blue Herons which was hard to believe

We updated our website today. Most of the photos were taken of birds right
in our own yard! We are lucky enough to have a Wild Turkey nesting on our

The Swainson's Hawk was putting on quite a show from 4:40 - 5:15PM today at
the intersection of Hwys 52 42 near the Rosemount Water Tower. He was
flying really low. There was also a Turkey Vulture flying overhead in the

. The eagle was on the right
side of Gen. Sieben Road as you are heading North in an open field being
prepared for new housing. It was a matured eagle with a solid white head.
